Technical gremlins halted any aspirations of podium finishes this weekend for EHA Racing’s British Supersport Championship duo David Allingham and Ross Twyman at Oulton Park. Allingham took a best result of fourth in Saturday’s sprint race, followed by sixth place today in the feature race, with Twyman posting a best result of ninth.
David Allingham [4th/6th]:
I just don’t seem to be carrying that little bit of luck you need on your side, so it was a frustrating weekend for the team. I worked really hard to try and overcome a few issues that we’ve been having, but we were hoping it would have stayed dry. It didn’t turn out the way I hoped, but we will come back stronger at the next round in Assen.
Ross Twyman [10th/9th]
Unfortunately, this weekend at Oulton, the weather hasn’t been kind to us and I really struggled getting the new bike set up. We had a few technical issues and I also struggled with rear grip all weekend, but on the positive side we came away with two points-scoring finishes and collected some good data. Hopefully Assen will be kind to us and let me show what we are capable of. Big thanks to the team for the non-stop work they put in. Also, a massive thanks to Ed, Gail; my personal and of course the team sponsors – it’s all really very much appreciated.
Gail Allingham – Team Manager:
It was a disappointing weekend for our Supersport boys. We really wanted to be up front battling for the podiums but a few technical issues prevented us from doing that this weekend. The boys and the team worked hard all weekend and we have to say a big thank you to them for that. We will keep looking to improve and hopefully Assen will be good for us. Thanks as always to our sponsors.
